Warehouse Associate

Department: WAREHOUSE
Location: Norristown, PA

Summary:

Performs all tasks associated with warehousing and distribution including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, labeling, kitting, loading/unloading, putting away, cycle and wall to wall counting, inventory auditing and inventory management and control. Utilizes various pieces of material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.

Primary Work Functions Include:

  • Tasks to include receiving, storage, inventory control, picking/packing, assembly, and distribution activities. 
  • Assumes responsibility for good working practices, safety, and security of inventory. 
  • Verifies all documentation, including packing slips, purchase orders, bills of lading and invoices.
  • Assists with daily, weekly and monthly reports of shipping, receiving, inventory etc.
  • General responsibility for housekeeping in all bulk storage areas. 
  • Utilize scanners and/or other technologies to document product movement.
  • Relocate products using forklift and pallet jacks.
  • Position does require lifting up to 50lbs. and standing, walking/bending on a regular basis.
  • Complete receipt notification form for customer materials (requires direct customer interface).
  • Coordinate equipment scanning and tagging for all applicable customer inventories prior to deployment to the field.
  • Other duties as assigned by management related to warehouse/logistics activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2 years’ experience in warehousing environment, preferred.
  • Forklift experience, preferred.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to partner with others successfully.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as work in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work in an ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong analytical and time management skills and able to prioritize special projects.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
