Summary:
We are looking for a person that either has telecom installation experience and/or a proven technical aptitude. The selected candidate will need to have a strong work ethic, organizational skills, communication skills, quality workmanship, and a continued quest for knowledge. The candidate will need to work well independently as well as be a team player. A candidate who enjoys learning about and interfacing with various types of wireless technology, would find this to be an exciting career.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Candidate will be responsible for supporting DAS, CRAN, Small Cell, LTE radio adds, site surveys, transport and site integration work as needed in the MID (PA, NJ, DE) area.
- Work closely with and support SAI Construction Managers.
- When available, attend relevant training courses.
- Occasional travel outside of the MID area and work outside normal daytime hours is expected.
- Year-round outdoor work is consistently required.
- Overnight travel is occasionally required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Three years of industry experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of power and hand tools for construction.
- Experience with installation, decommission, assembly, and modification of telecom equipment.
- Knowledge of either civil construction or electrical work.
- Experience working aloft in man lifts.
- Knowledge of SWEEP and PIM equipment.
- Knowledge of specific cable routing that includes but not limited to coax, fiber, Telco Flex, THHN, all conduits, etc. including proficiency cable management/layout.
- Experience interpreting site plans, scope of work, identifying and communicating project risks, issues, or changes effectively.
- Anritzu / PIM / fiber testing certification, preferred
- Connector certification (Andrew, PPC, CommScope, etc.), preferred
- High School Diploma/GED.
